Dedicated to Jacques Lecoq

Three days of testimonies, meetings, books, films and performances

The event sets out to commemorate the greatest acting instructor of the second half of the 20th century on the occasion of two anniversaries, the 10th of the death of Jacques Lecoq and the 30th of the founding of the Scuola Teatro Arsenale, which owes its existence to Lecoq.

It will include: testimonies, the screening of film clips on the teaching and early works of Jacques Lecoq that have never been shown previously, an exhibition of books and documents and an examination of Lecoq’s years in Italy, fundamental to the development of his theatrical ideas. In addition, there will be an illustration of Lecoq’s least-known work, devoted to set design and the plastic arts. In addition, there will be a reconstruction of the thirty years of existence of the Scuola Teatro Arsenale, which Lecoq supported throughout his life.

Nuit d’été loin des Andeswill be presented for the occasion: a monologue written and performed by Susana Lastreto Prieto, actor, author and teacher at the Ecole Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq of Paris.
