Satie<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Three Art Nouveau chamber operas in the historic center of Barga<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">The performance is organized as a tour of some places in Barga and three different poetic worlds that find their inspiration or their reference in the Art Nouveau style.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">It starts from the place in Barga with the most rarefied atmosphere, the cathedral, extraordinarily close in its colors to those of Maurice Denis (a friend of Debussy\u2019s and the first illustrator of the score of <\/span><span class=\"s2\"><i>Ladamoiselle \u00e9lue<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s1\">) and to the transparencies of the music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Making then a descent, which is not just physical but also corresponds to the growing accumulation of the materials of which the three pieces are composed, we stop in Piazza Garibaldi, the location of Zandonai\u2019s<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><i>Il sogno di Rosetta<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s1\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">The final stop is at the open galleries of the caf\u00e9 for <\/span><span class=\"s2\"><i>Genevi\u00e8ve de Brabant<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> by Contamine de Latour and Satie, an adaptation of the highly popular legend of St. Genevieve for a <\/span><span class=\"s2\"><i>caf\u00e9 chantant<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s1\">. Here we arrive atthe most distant point from where we set out, especially with regard to the relationship\u00a0 between text and music, as well as theater: from thelyricpoem to cabaret.
