This initiative devoted to Virgil and to this archeological site is intended as an invitation to read the Aeneid and as a tribute to the man who was the “sweet father” of the greatest Italian and European poet, Dante Alighieri. Above all, however, it is motivated by an observation: we return more often to the places of antiquity than to the words, the writings of antiquity, and it is a pity...

Our venture is an attempt to unite archeology and literature, with the aim of conveying a vivid image of those times which are more part of us than we ourselves know.
